Gaby and Artist thanks for bringing up the stale water issue. I've created another post just to compile reactions to that issue. Thanks to everyone who is participating in this community BLOG. More and more issues keep coming up. For the recent bloggers if you woudn't mind, please send your email addresses to me so that I can add them to my distribution list. Every so often I'll send out emails regarding potential items of interest on the city council agenda or events in the community. Thank you candidates for commenting on issues and supplying your telephone numbers and email addresses to our friends.

Please everyone lets remember the purpose of this BLOG site. It's to gather information regarding the city of Lathrop. Everyone posting items does so because they see a need. Lets not turn this into a medium to push an individual idea or to shout down someone else. Don't turn this into a political bashing forum. Each candidate can and will defend their positions in the October "Meet the Candidate Night". Our community needs to work together to make it a better place for everyone.

Good News from the city council meeting. Waste Water Treatment Plant #1 will be authorized to go on line this Friday. It needs 40,000 gallons of waste water before it can actually be used to process anything. The level available is about 35,000 gallons. As soon as a sustainable level of 40K gallons is reached it will be turned on.

This is a warning to everyone posting comments on this BLOG. The purpose of this site is to share issues and concerns regarding the city. It is not a forum to further political agendas nor is it a tool to bash other citizens. I have removed some comments that were directed towards individuals in an attacking manner. I will continue to remove any comments directed in an antagonistic fashion towards any of the BLOG participants. If you would like to talk to me about the direction this BLOG has taken and the position I'm taking I can be reached at 982-1798.

In regards to the question of where things go after they end up in the gutter. The city has a plan that was updated approximately 6 months ago. Included in the plan were the guidelines pertaining to gutters and where things end up. I'll follow up at the next council meeting and see where we stand with getting the information out and drains marked.

I need your input. I have asked the candidates to refrain from putting campaign info on the BLOG until Sep 23. At which time you can ask them questions and they will repond. If you are against this idea let me know via the BLOG. I want the BLOG to meet the needs of the citizens, if at this time we need to go polical we can. Looking forward to hearing from you on this.

Here's an opportunity to read about each of the candidates positions on items that directly affect the citizens of Lathrop. Go back to the orignal page and post in the "Candidates' Forum" section. Please click on the words comments and the pencil associated with that post to go straight to the candidates. I would appreciate it if everyone would create their own logon to add comments. Any comments attacking candidates or individuals will be removed. As one blogger stated this is not a fail safe process and people should use caution and logic when reading the responses and postings. Please enjoy and share this site with your Lathrop neighbors.

Just in case everyone is wondering where all of the comments have gone. I'm trying to reduce the number of comments that you have to cycle through to get to the new ones. Before deleting them I made a record just in case someone wants to refer to one.
